The Esthetician administers professional facials, waxing services and a selection of body treatments to our guests.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide consistent professional facial and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Perform 30, 50 and 80-minute massage services
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
- Actively promote home care regiments, meeting minimum retail to service sales goals of 40% after completion of one year.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Bella Santé room and spa standards by performing prep work and properly clean and restock room as required and complete Star duty when assigned.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision and contribute to a culture of peer accountability.
- Maintain a positive attitude and uphold company core values and Bella Santé commitment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Follow up with a minimum of 16 guests per month via e-mail or phone.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
This position must hold and maintain a current Massachusetts state license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, have excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision and contribute to a culture of peer accountability.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
- Capacity and commitment to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
REQUIRED SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED:
- All Facial Services on menu unless otherwise determined by Spa Director and Corporate Esthetic Director.
- All Wax Services, including all body waxing (Brazilian, LA Bikini, and Bikini Waxing) unless otherwise determined by Spa Director and Corporate Esthetic Director.
- All Body Treatments unless otherwise determined by Spa Director and Corporate Esthetic Director.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Repeat same movements.
- Use their hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Use fingers to grasp, move or assemble very small objects.
- Use one or two hands to grasp, move or assemble objects.
TRAVEL:
Local travel to meetings and training may be required.

Performance will be discussed with the Spa Director on a regular basis
